Not that I agree with what they did because I don't. It's against OUR ethics, the Core's ethics, etc. We aren't supposed to be stooping down to their level. While I completely 100% understand that we all don't think right over there. It effects people completely differently and especially when people already have underlying mental issues prior to service. No excuse but it's highly likely that these men wouldn't of done this without the stress of war.

However I find it comical, knew it was coming though, how Muslim organizations are denouncing it and trying to get holier than thou saying that this isn't how war is fought, etc. Either is decapitating captured, surrendered enemies. Either is how they are fighting this war to 100%. I guess in their eyes the Taliban and AQ are fighting to the terms of the Geneva. Come on...

Either way this just makes it bad on us. I still have reservation if this is even real. It's not completely out of the question that it's fake or that it's real. I have no opinion either way.

I honestly wouldn't care had they not recorded it for the world to see, war is just that...war, and seeing/going through some of that shit has to be very mentally disturbing

this honestly only fuels hate for america though, and thats the last thing we need while we are fighting these wars

while pissing on a dead body may not escalate to much, it definitely isnt helping our cause, none of these scandals are

these wars are "suppose" to be fighting terrorism, not fueling it (although thats a whole other debate)

Im dont know if this is 100% true as it came to me in an email, but I do remember hearing bout a few of the instances.

YOU CANNOT EXCUSE THE STUPIDITY OF THEIR BEHAVIOR BUT WHAT CONGRESSMAN WEST EXPRESSES SAYS IT ALL..... I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah. All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq? The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter. As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.

It is a militay matter and they should be delt with in the military courts out of the public eye. As far as that last statement a few troops may feel the same way bc I myself was shot at and shot by the taliban and war is hell you will Possibly depending on your job see your coworkers get shot, die, get blown apart, burned to death but soldiers shouldnt be pissing on dead bodies. IMO some agree others dont.

I agree, but I think the point was this wasnt that bad but the media jumps all over it. When our own soldiers are treated even worse it doesnt get the some coverage and attention which is wrong, IMO.

Definitely not right to do what he did... but I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. We also don't know the situation he was in or had just been in. The guy he was peeing on could have just killed his friends and attempted to kill him. If that was the case, I'd pee on him, take a shit on him, and rub it all over with my boot while whiping my ass with any other clean clothing he has on

Yea from the jump it was wrong but once it hits the media they will blow it WAY up the way the media does not only that it doesnt just hit the media in America the enemy also tunes in. When they do bad things to American soldiers over there it is terrible but what do the Americans in the states do in return to the enemy? not much but when Videos like this pop up in those countries what does the enemy and some of the citizens in the countries that soldiers are in do? recruit more to their side and ramp up attacks on the deployed soldiers.
