Snowboard, boots, and bindings????

Well i went snowboarding for the first time this year last friday and i forgot how much i liked it so I want to get out and go more since i'm not that busy especially on the weekends but the thing is i had to rent a snowboard and if i have to rent everytime i go i wont go as often. Even though renting is only $26 i feel it is wasted money because i have brand new ride bindings just sitting in my room so all i would need is a board and boots that fit.

Now I don't know if it is worth buying a new board or not since I'm not good enough to know what kind of board I want to spend a few hundred on I'd rather buy 2 or 3 used boards before i buy a new one.

I've been looking at some stuff on craigslist and was wondering what the value on used gear is compared to new and what to watch out for so I need your help!

I emailed this guy and the boots he has are just my size but he'd also take $175 for the board and bindings and i could pick up new boots for under $100

Forum Snowboard Full Set up

I emailed about this board too and if its my size i would through my binding on it and buy new boots no problem.

SNOWBOARD MIKES HARD LEMONADE NEW IN PACKAGE

What should i do I don't want to spend more than $300 on a setup so what do you think?

Since your a beginner don't spend that much, you need a board to learn on. They have end of winter sales just about any sporting good stores you could fine decent boards low as 50$ now that may sound cheap it really isnt they have name brand boards, got my twin burton for only $90 at sports authority. Really good board. Moral of this is that all of this is brand new so you dont have to look on craigslist or buy stuff from people.
Also good deals on gear, Jacket, pants, goggles etc.

FYI, my forum bindings were trash in two season, I'd stay away from Forum.

I've looked at stores like that around here and the cheapest boards are still around $200 even if i waited till the end of the season to buy i would still be out $100-$150 for rental gear until then but you're right thats when the good sales are.

Yea I've heard of their bindings breaking but I read nothing but good thing about their boards so I thought it might be a good board to start with compared to some of the cheaper boards I've read about breaking after a few uses.

Well I might of jumped the gun, In ski/snowboarding season it usually ends around beginning of april till easter or after spring break season. Then sales drops down.
