I havent done ANYTHING to my 05 except put a corsa axle back set on it. And i've never heard how it sounds. Yea, i've listened to it at an idle, and listened to it while i get on it from inside the car. But i've never heard it from afar.

Until NOW haha.

I was just standing at the front counter with a contractor when he said "isnt that your car at the stop sign" sure enough my wife was out getting groceries.

When she turned the corner she laid into it pretty good. My contractor laughed, so i explained to him that last month i was talking with her about how i never have heard it.

Car sounds great with my axle back, now i just cant wait for the supercharger to be on!

What are you guy's methods? Tripod with a video camera? let friends drive your car (EEEEEK)?

I havnt heard my car untill I sold it to someone that lives in my town. My girlfriend cant drive stick and I sure as hell dont trust my friends driving my stuff lol

I let other people drive it or there are dividing walls (think like the highway) on slower roads around here. I drive near those with the windows down

I love hearing my exhaust resonate off of the buildings in town. I owned my 01 for like 2 years before i let my buddy take it to prom. When he was pulling out of my drive i asked him to get on it a little bit. That was the only time i heard that car. (headers, o/r x, magnaflow dumps)

I have let a couple of my buddies drive it once or twice. This was when I realized how LOUD my car was. He drove it to a 7-11 about a mile away and I heard it the whole way there. (mac longtubes, mac offroad H, flowmaster 40s w/tailpipes)

lmao, sixer, back when i had my 01 i would drive to wendy's every morning for breakfast before work. My wife could hear me driving there and back (3/4 mile away from our house, across town). I'd get on it leaving there and heading to work and i'd get a text saying slow down, i can hear you! hahaha

Either if I'm taking an exhaust video or let someone else drive it (which is most of the time at a shop or something). So not very often lol

Once the supercharger is on, im going to have a hard time letting ANY one drive my car. My wife already said she wont want to drive it when its on (even though i explained to her how the boost works, and how if she's not getting on it she wont hardly notice its there..)

I guess i'll just have her video tape it so i can atleast hear it drive by lol.

Mostly by sitting near things like concrete retaining walls, buildings, barriers, etc...

The best was back when I was in high school cruising in my Cutlass. I was giving my friend a ride home after school, and we came to a stop at this one corner between two brick buildings. We both looked around like a dog that heard food hit the floor, expecting to see some badass hotrod go cruising by. We paused for a second to see no other cars around, yet all we heard was this mean exhaust, a slight lope, but just a growl that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Then it hit me. That was MY car. I gave it a rev and the sound I was hearing matched. My friend turns to me and says "Holy shit dude, that's you. This car sounds fucking awesome!"

And I'd do the same when I got my stang. When I had gotten the O/R X installed (right after I passed emissions with the stocker ) I was driving home, and spotted a section in the road with concrete barriers on either side. I romped on the throttle and could hear how mean it sounded as I flew through them.

You know, I never have heard my car because I've always been riding in it when someone else is driving it. My girlfriend would probably cream her pants if I let her drive it, not to mention without me AND told her to get on it


She is a good driver, I'm totally doing this when it warms up and the car is back from the shop. Keep an eye out for the "my girl totaled my mustang" thread

Its hard to let people with slower cars drive my mustang. They say the back end gets loose to easy. I just tell them its not its not a honda.

lmfao, i had one girl tell me how slow my car was because her ex went ~150 with her in the car. I went 0-80 with her in the car and shut it down. She said her ex's car goes faster, so i asked whose got from 0-80 faster and she said mine lol.

Its funny when they think they know what their saying.

Yeah.... I COULD take my car 170+ but why? It's stupid. Yes, I've topped 5th gear out with the 3.31's after the mods and everything. Once. Stupid, but I just had to see.
