Assistance please... (No really, I need some help)

So I swapped cars with my mom the other day. I had about a 200mi round trip for work, and lets face it, my 'Stang, at 13MPG ain't exactly gas friendly.

Anyway, she's comin' home from work in my car and gets popped by a local Hi-Po... For "excessive noise from the exhaust"... WTF?!?! Its got mufflers... Sorta... And she got a seatbelt warning. Thats what I need to remedy.

So this is where you monkeys come in. Anybody got an old harness they wanna get rid of? It doesn't need to be SFI certified or anything. I'll take an old "Y" style even. Anything...............

I put this in the classified section too, but I know it'll get more views here. Hell, lets face, ya'll are just itchin' ta see what I spout out next...

Thanks!!!
HB

Whats wrong with the seat belt? Also since she got a ticket in your car...could this fall on you in anyway? You may wanna go to a junkyard to snag an old seat belt.

Nope, the person driving the car at the time is completely responsible for every thing on or in that vehicle. It's up to the driver to be sure it's legal, and not carrying anything illegal.

I'll get you a seat belt for juan meeeeelion dollars!

not really, I don't have any extra seat belts. Just wanted to clarify that before I got my shit jumped for not putting an "lol" or "j/k" after this.

Ehhh..... Thats the thing. I had a "Y" belt for the car I got from a friend. Had it in my Evo. Took it over to a buddies house and it disappeared. I think the douche' sold it.

The factory belts were frayed and the tensioner was shot. It's like wearing a tank top in a blizzard. Does no good.
I want a harness because I take it to the track pretty regularly. I could deal with another OEM style belt, but I feel safer with a herness. I've had 'em in other cars and I prefer their feel over a conventional lap/shoulder tensioner style belt.

She only got a warning. No ticket.

meh, you sound like me. The passenger seatbelt of my car didn't work so we nig rigged it and drilled a screw into the seatbelt roller so it could pass inspection. its been 4 years since this and they still have no clue :wink
