heres our new problem. stations are bagging regular pumps claiming that they ar eout of regular- forcing people normally running 87 octane to purchase 89 octane. since yesterday, prices went up another 30 cents. a lot of these scheming gougers are being arrested in my local area. the whole situation is rediculous IMO

Here, when they "run out of 87" and have to bag the pump, they sell you the higher grade for the same price as the low grade stuff.

now all of the Circle K's/Union 76's have shut down completely for gas. they dont sell any- 87,91,93... wal-mart and kroger are selling it cheap but lines are insane. there is a local BP selling regular for 3.49 a gallon and a station at the lake selling it for 3.89 a gallon. what surprises me is when i left the lake this morning to go job hunting, a ton of people were still out in their boats- rich bastards lol.

Wow, thats crazy. here in NH, everyone is just going about their lives, getting gas like normal. Except the prices are insane. I paid 3.56 for premium. I think regular is at 2.99. But i doubt it will stay for much longer. And who ever said if people think the prices will raise then they will....thats not how it works. Because like someone else said, the barrels go up first, then you see it at the pumps. There is a reason the gas is going up and its pretty obvious. Lucky me i have 2 cars and i work approx. 5-8 minutes from work. So i can use my trusty pedal bike!!

The state governments in OH, KY, and IN are investigating certain stations for gouging. Since it hit the news that they were doing that, gas has gone down to $2.99/gal for 87. I haven't needed to fill up lately, but I haven't seen it higher than $3 for regular since that one day spike or so after the hurricane hit.

The Indiana State Attorney Generals office put out a number to call for complaints of price gouging. In two days they had 1500 calls.
