Im going Honda
Yep! You heard it right , I'm getting a Honda!.. After getting promoted i would be loosing money with all the gas I'd be wasting so I'm selling my GT (because I still owe on it) :'(. As much as I'ma miss smashing on everything it's getting sold next month. :/. Soo is this a reasonable price for my car? I owe 3500$ on it still. It's a 2000 Laser red GT, 96K on body, 03 4.6 motor with 34K. Performance wise Pypse catback, am cold air, 373 gears, am cold air, custom X pipe, and manu other little visual things. Anyways, I'm selling it for 6,000$. Is that a good deal or should I have sold it for more? The interior is flawless, plus it's tinted all around with 2% tint, has an amp & sub, no grinds or anything.
I was Getting an 03 Wrx but I changed my mind and I'm going for an 05 rsx type S ( my brother has a built turbo one) so I'd take all his stuff when he upgrade Thanks guys let me know! |

If I read it right, your wanting to get rid of it for 3500. Sounds more than reasonable to me. Shoot there is a guy in town that is trying to get 6500 out of his 02 gt with like 130k so I see yours as more than reasonable!

So... how much are you paying for the RSX?
Are you sure this move is actually going to *save* you any money in the long run? Don't get me wrong, I like most cars, and I wouldn't kick an RSX out of my driveway, but just make sure you run all the numbers.

You aren't going to get more money because of the mods. If anything it will be worth less because most people are aware that mods=abuse.
6000 is fair. I would list it for 8000 then let a potential customer bring you down some. He will think he is getting a deal because you came down in price and you still get what you want. Jmo

I never had the pleasure or experiance driving a Honda but i did babysit my brother's 07 wrx with sti swap for about a year. Im not sure of his mod details but my 04 GT had better gas mileage than that subaru. It was a fun car to drive, felt like a rollercoaster & i like the unique exhaust note.
I am curious about the rsx, lookn forward to see the pictures

Well have fun man. It all depends on what you really want.
With your description and mileage plus the pic you just posted - I would shoot more towards 8 - 9k. 6k is pretty low, it'll sell quick but you won't be getting your monies worth.

Are you coming out ahead cash wise selling the Mustang and buying the RSX? Because the MPG difference on the Honda is only ~5mpg better.
So that means if you drive 12000 miles a year, you're only saving ~$300 a year in gas. That's not including the fact that I believe the RSX Type S runs on premium vs the Mustang running regular. Factor in that difference and the cost of gas becomes almost negligible between the two. So unless you're coming out cash positive on the trade, the gas savings are not a viable reason to trade. And I doubt you are cash positive because the lost value in the Mustang, especially one with mods, will be alot. And Acuras hold their value alot better than Mustangs. Just letting the world know that you secretly just wanna join the rice community
