I'm really considering this... 06->68

This guy in Tucson is willing to trade a decent '68 for an '05 & up

What do you think?

I'm kinda considering it, but I'm not 100% on the idea of letting my '06 go...

I hate to say it but he is correct go fast back. So much nicer looking.

That aside if his car is actually worth 11k. I would say its a fine deal. Your 06 should be worth 11k or so.

I would LOVE to get my hands on a '70 Boss, and I had the opportunity, but not the money :mad

I was just considering it b/c I have always loved classic cars more so than newer, coupe or fastback. I miss my '77 maverick and the feel of the car. lol

'68 coupe with... what motor? what tranny? what options?

Just looking at it, I'd guess it's a 2-barrel 302, and probably an auto. Not worth it, IMO.

Coupes can be sweet, but I find this one ugly. I wouldn't do it...if you have to ask our opinion, you probably don't really want it, so why go through the trouble of trading cars?

Why would it suck? I love classics... Newer cars feel too smooth and refined... almost tamed. (I have been in/driven numerous GTs and other v8s/v10s before you say "well you're rolling a sixxer" )

I just love how the classics handle, but I am gunna pass on this one.

i'd consider it. i only got 9,995 out of my 05 v6 premium in a trade. if it drives well/in good shape, then it'll hold the resale value quite well, therefore you got nothing to lose. me personally? id probably keep the newer mustang, i doubt it'll drive as well as the 06 v6 or even as reliable.

i never driven a classic, but i rode in my friends 80's mazda and the ride, the conditions, everything felt so old and out date. it feels great to drive a never car with all the commodities they offer.

It would be a damn great investment. look at it like this, that 68 will only go up in value right? and your 06 will go down. As an INVESTMENT definitely would do it.

I had a dude offer me his 66 289 for my old 07 V6. At the time, I was still smitten by the new mustang, but looking back I should've taken it. I would've felt like a douche DDing it though.
