To make a long story short, Kaity got accepted to the Art Institute of Chicago on a full ride scholarship.

On the one hand I'm really proud of her, on the other, it fucking sucks.

Its not that she's going to college for free that bothers me, its just knowing that she'll be gone in a few months. I'm not really capable of moving to Chicago with her, at least not until my degree is done. Just hella depressing.

Yeah. At first I was thinking I would just move to Chicago but then found out that I wouldn't be able to go to school for a year because I would have to pay the out of state resident tuition, and I don't have enough money to feel comfortable ditching everything I have here without having something concrete to go to.

hahaha thats cool though. went down lsu, alabama weekend and ive never seen so many people there. you couldnt move in the quad. cant tell you how many times i was burned by cigarettes or had beer spilled on me. but minus that and add all the girls and fun, it was great.

She's 19, I'm 22.

edit: When she leaves we will have been together 14 months. She's going to be leaving in August to get moved and settled then starting school in September.

double edit: 6-7 months probably seems like a short amount of time, but we moved in together pretty much just as soon as we started dating. We were always together at raves and barter fairs and shit and then both dropped out of that lifestyle and got clean at the same time so we could do something with our lives besides partying all the time. The fact we been through that shit together makes her closer than any girl I've dated before regardless of the time spent.

Itll be ok. My hubby lived 350 miles away then went to Afghanistan. We saw each other maybe once a month if that and we are now married and so happy

She'll be there for 4 years, yeah. I finish my degree in December of 2013 so then I would just move.
