Trading car??

So Ive had my 96 GT up for trade for about a week now, Ive only gotten offers of cars I dont want or v6s.
Im wanting a new edge GT, not really worried about the year.
Not a problem with my car, but I love the new edge body, especially in black=P
I got offered a v6 black convertible manual mustang, pratically all that I want, however its not a GT=(
Im considering switching sides, anyones input on the trade?
The gas mileage would help for commuting to school next year and the convertible top would be fun.
should I wait it out for a 1999+ GT hardtop or not? or go for the convertible(very tempted)

You won't get a straight up trade for a newer GT, so if you just want to body style go for it. Word to the wise, unless you go FI or do some h/c/i on the V6 you wont see much more than 200 hp

Don't those V6s get essentially the same mileage as a GT? Also, you are going to miss driving a V8 when moving to a V6. I know I get antsy when driving a less powerful car.

I've gotten 29-30 on 100% highway when I was commuting 3 hrs a day, I know the 2011 GT I had some of the time almost did the same but idk about new edges

Yeah they do. Op hold out and find a decent GT and be prepared to pa lil more I doubt you will find a str8 out trade.

I don't know anything about your particular car or what you've put into it, but if it's close to stock, I don't anticipate someone trading a newer model for it straight up, but I'm not really an expert. A convertible V6 New Edge is always nice looking at the very least.

If you want a V6, get a 2011 or 2012 V6, those are pretty badass and still get 31mpg

Try putting your car for trade for a cobra. I did that with my 95 gt and got a couple hits, but ended up just selling it and buying a cobra.

nothing wrong with a v6, if you dont care about the power and its everything yu want then go for it, if you definitely want the gt you'll be better off privately selling it and then buying a vehicle.

+1, the difference between my 00 V6 and 97 cobra im looking at is 1mpg

oh and im 18, with a full time job
