I went to lincoln tech in grand prairie,tx.

I tried to go to uti but I only got 16k for financial aid. It was 34k total. Friends go there. You have to buy your own tools out of pokey while going there.

Lincoln tech had tools included in the tuition. My total was. 17k for everything.

Which location are you attending?

Advise- stick it out. I sadly dropped out half way through do to personal reasons. I REGRET IT EVERYDAY.

i went to the houston location...Auto w/ford fact...going on my 3rd year as a tech..one of the lead techs at the shop im at..its worth it if you pay attention and dont dick around. alot of shit goes on that you dont wanna get wrapped up in. just do good and youll be fine.

I took the same program but at the Chicago location. Loved it, took a lot away from it. If I had to do it all over again I think I would have done diesel though. Lots of money to be had for diesel tech's and they are only going to need more as more manufacturers are putting diesels in different vehicles now. I am, however, no longer a tech. I got laid off and switched back to my first degree, which is I.T. That was 6 years ago though and most Ford dealers have bounced back now.

OP, Irving or Houston location?

My friends go to Irving and love it. It's about 1.5 years old and brand new equipment. Either way it's a great investment. I'm looking to get back into Lincoln techs auto program and finish that up.

I'm going to the Irving location and I have a GI bill covering me to do the automotive and automotive diesel 1.5 year course,it costs 39,500,and I get diesel and auto certified.im going for the top of my class,I want to be a Saleen mechanic.

Used to live in grand prairie while going to Lincoln tech. Show you the area, help with anything I could. Best of luck on uti. My friends go to Irving uti and love it. Ones a mech for Subaru. Others at Lexus and other is at Nissan.

I went and visited the one in Houston last month and it was really awesome.Loved the city and the school.

Never skip is something I would tell you unless you absolutely have to

they dont give you tools..they give a voucher when you graduate..i wish i woulda went diesel...i wanted to go for Mercedes to be a driveability tech and im actually glad i didnt..i like working in a shop that does all makes and models and i can honestly say FUCK euros..hate workin on them shits..haha
