I'm talking to the guy and got him down to 10500. I'm now just trying to see if I can do this money wise. Oh I hope this can work

Its a salvage title car... I would say its an average deal not really the greatest ever.

Im just not a fan of salvage title cars. You never knew who fixed it or how good the repair was. End up with squeaks and rattles and its a PITA to sell.

I've been talking to him and he says he can't even tell it was trashed. He's driven the car for 4 years and never had problems.

i know others on here have rebuilt titles but unless i knew the shop that did the work and trusted them I would never consider buying a car with a salvage title.

My car has a rebuilt title

Make sure to look it over really good for any hidden damage to dog house, suspension, subframes, and rear end.

But other than that looks like a pretty sweet deal!

Yep. If money checks out, I'm going to drive down to see it and hopefully come back with a new car

If you are going to buy it you need to find out what happened in the accident, what the mileage was when it was wrecked, what repairs were done, and who did the work. Then research the shop that did the work to make sure they are respectable...

Honestly, there is no way to do too much research when buying a salvage titled car.

Would be a good idea to go over the rear quarter panels with a magnet at well to make sure they arent bondo'd.

Just found out what happened. The car was vandalized. Key scratched, windows knocked out, lights knocked out. The insurance totaled it, But it was Then repaired and sold as a rebuilt car. The current owner, him and his dad, own a body shop and has made a full inspection and nothing is wrong.

I wouldnt trust the inspection he and his father did. I would ask if they mind you taking it to Ford to get looked over and see what they say. Also see if they have pictures of it WITH the damage so you can see for yourself. If it was totalled by the insurance company they will have pictures.

Ford will charge you like $35 to do a 75 point inspection. Tell them you are thinking about buying the car and are concerned about it having a salvage title and see what they find.

His insurance or not, he should have pics of it. If they own a body shop and did the repairs there they had to send pictures of it off to the insurance company.

I may sound a bit paranoid here, but you are dropping 10k on this you need to be 100% that everything was done correctly and it is what they say it is.

How hard is it to get insurance on a salvage titled car?
