That's a 996. Probably a '98 or '99. Here's one for $16,495 in TX. You can find pretty clean examples in the $19-22k range with some mileage. Base model 911's don't go for crazy money like their Turbo and GT brethren.

Yeah that's not any crazy price for an older 911. You see them pop up all the time for under 20k with 75000+ miles on them.

It's probably a poor decision on his part, but not at all unreal

That is exactly what convinced me to buy my Neon over the 944 that was the same price right next to it on the lot. Hmm, a car that has rare parts that are super expensive to replace, or one that I can pull replacements of from any junkyard for under $50?

I'd hate to see him have any engine/transmission problems. No going to the junkyard for a quick replacement for that.

Thats a nice looking 996! Hopefully for his sake its not a scam, and I 3rd laughing when it breaks down lol he had better hope he doesnt wreck it... I cant imagine the price for body and suspension repair on a wrecked 911

yeah, and i think in Louisiana you cant get coverage on your car for anything if its a salvage title, just protection if you hit someone else.

but what gets me is, a car designer who is moving to south korea and just wants it off his hands since he has to move.....

There was a guy on the Evansville craigslist selling a modded MK4 TT Supra for $5000... a friend called about it and the guy selling told my friend to wire him the money, then he would ship the car to Evansville because he just moved to Chicago
