look for rust...jeeps love to rot out. the 4.0 I6 with an ax15 behind it is pretty much an unbeatable durabilty combination. its right up there with the yota 22re and what not.

Don't really have to worry about rust out here in the desert.

From a safety standpoint, I would feel very comfortable driving in a jeep again. Both from the literal safety of the vehicle as well as the feeling of being higher up in an suv. They are great vehicles and have already saved my life. I totaled an 04 Liberty and walked away with just a minor seat belt rash

My friend has a 4 cyl jeep. Good lord he runs it so hard because he can't stand to drive slow. He says it's normal. And I'm like 4k rpm's constantly is not normal. He wonders why his mpg blows.

I couldn't live with a Wrangler everyday either. You can't lock it, it's loud, bumpy, cramped, and you can't fit anything in it.

so he should totally get a 4 banger then. the pink one. it would be a great match with the gay h3 and the gay audi he has had

Just so you know, the Sport editions are I6 and SE editions are I4. The Rubicons and X editions are Sports with suspension and wheel upgrades. The biggest way to tell the difference in Jeep engines is the fan cover. On I6's the cover is small, and on I4's the cover is huge!

Ex.
Notice how huge the fan cover is

Now this I6 has a smaller cover

Truth! Trust me Gray, I own one... They suck for anything more than a 10mi commute. If you are set on a Jeep be smart, Jeeps are just as bad as Mustangs when it comes to the Mod Bug. Get a Rubicon, and be done with it. You will save yourself so much more money compared to building one like I did...

^this. If you can find one that isnt stupid expensive. You can pretty much build a sport to rubicon specs or better for the price the stock rubi is.

I paid top dollar for my Jeep because I was insistent on the color, low miles, and and the drivetrain. Had I knew then what I know now I would have driven to Indiana and bought the Rubicon I almost settled on...
