How do you stand with the 2012 Police Cars...

I was impressed with the top speed and acceleration of the cars, and surprised with the lack of performance from the motorcycles.

IMO, Ford's biggest mistake was discontinuing the Crown Vics. I used to have an 05 CVPI. It was such an amazing car. And by the looks of the charts, there's not a single 2012 car that accelerates as fast as the Vics did.

From what I understand there's a lot of departments that are hoarding Vics while they can still get them.

I don't understand why Ford would drop it rather than just refreshing it with a more modern drivetrain. The issue with the Vics was fuel economy, which would easily be solved by using either the Coyote or Ecoboost 3.5L and putting the 6-speed auto behind it instead of the 4-speed they've always had.

My car has the horsepower of the v6 Caprice, but is faster than the 6.0 version. The 6.0 should be faster; my best friend drives a G8 and it is much faster in a straight line.

Its good to see those RWD v8 caprices came to the states you would see those things in Kuwait back in 2004-05 even the caprice ss they looked kinda bad a$$ it good to see them finally heading this way they were HUGE though

Those Chargers are beast. All the state trooper cars here are black chargers. And a lot of the local police cars are swapping from crown vics to chargers. Fuk....now I wanna be a cop just so I get to drive a charger

On a sidenote, it's kinda funny when you see people trolling with crown vics that they made to look like a cop car...LOL

You must have read the chart wrong- even the Tahoe can beat a Crown Vic 0-60.

Why? Most charger cop cars, all the ones around here anyways, are v6s. Nothing special really.

A lot of the chargers you see (locally anyway) are the v6's which police have many electrical problems with. They do not like them. And enacts wrong with a vic that looks like a cop car?

Most state troopers here use Tahoes. City PD use Chargers. Sheriffs officers are still sticking with the good ol Crown Vic.
