What throttle body are you running?

I had this problem...I run a BBK throttle body and I had to do some modding to the butterfly to remedy the issue...

Best of luck bro...

Matt, off the line who do u think would win, one of are sn-95's or the goped? LOL. You must have been the coolest 13 year old when u were younger doing burnouts on a goped. I'm only messing with u, I bet you wish you had the 1800 back to dump into your car though. That right there are gears, tb, plenum, and u might even squeeze a cheap set of pulleys if you do all the work yourself. Thats gotta be a half second if not more off your times....

yeah, God forbid the pedal get stuck on your v6 and you scream in horror as your car accelerates and quickly reaches its top speed of 55mph.

j/k

i had the same thing happen to me with my accufab TB. the throttly cable would get caught on one of the tubes that it runs by and stick. I just changed how the cable went over that tube. fixed it right up.

yeah, it would have been a spur of the moment decision on whether she wanted to hit a car head on or rear end the hell out of the car in front of her

its does not have anything to do with the cable on the tb, it has to do with the pedal getting stuck in the carpet

That's happened to me before. It scared the crap out of me. I was accelerating to get on the highway and one of my electrical lines came loose and wedged itself in the cable. I had to kill the ignition and coast on to the shoulder. Thank God for quick thinking and no damage.

There was a guy at a local car show (one of the bigger shows around here), who crashed his termie because of this problem. Luckily there was a fence to stop it before it hit anyone, happened a few feet from me.

I heard later that Ford took complete responsibility and paid for all the damages... so if this ever happens to anyone and causes an accident, check to see about that, especially any cobra owners here.

may be an old thread, but just thought I'd share... in case anyone has an accident cause of this
