bad thing happened today

well, i get a call about 9:30 this morning and its my mom, shes says "are you ready to hear this?" im like oh shit who died? but shes says well i drive your car to church this morning, and when she said that my heart just sunk, cuz all i had running through my head was her getting into an accident.

anyways she tells me she was passing a car and when she got done passing, she let off the throttle and it was stuck at WOT, not a good thing. anywyas she frekaed out, took it out of gear and put it in nuetral and its just slapping the piss out the rev limiter(thank god for a rev limiter) anyways so she thinks she hurt the motor or something, but she told me she would be taking it to my tuner and builder and have him look at it, and if it is hurt, shes told me shed pay to get it fixed.

anyone else have a problem with their 99-04 sticking at WOT, she siad the pedal just stayed on the floor like it was caught in the carpet. anywyas it was kinda scary for her and she freaked out.i told her anytime it happens, just hit the ignition off and pull over. anyways that was my scary experience for the day

Damn, I'm glad that nothing happened to your mom.

Never heard a thing about a throttle sticking full open.

That happened to me once in my 03 GT. It only lasted for about 2 seconds though, and then slapped back. Never happened again though.

Its only a Cobra thing because of the metal pedals (the style). All those after market pedal covers have that potential. Not sure if you have them on your car.

i used to have a couple nitro R/C cars, those fuckers stuck at WOT all the time and always ended up hitting curbs or fence posts. god i wasted so much money on those things back before i started driving REAL cars. lol. i'm glad she figured it out and slowed down safely. at least she didnt panic, let go of the wheel, throw her hands up in the air, and scream. yanno i've seen it happen when an accident could have been easily avoided. i always wonder why insurance costs less for girls.
