now i paid 6000 for my car if i were to have the cash to buy a z06 i would have 64000 left to spend ok so i toss 64k into my car now what do i have have. most likley something i would need a NHRA licence to drive lol and have room for 4 people not exactly comforrtable but still 4 not too mention room for groceries

so i wonder is 500+ horses and a fancy body worth 70k

you can make that argument for any new car. why would you spend 50k on a new cobra when you could get a very very nice 5.0 fox body for 10k, put the other 40k into it, and smoke the shit out of the cobra.

wow this one attracted some attention in a hurry like i figured it would personally i just get what makes it so expensive i understand the engine part costing some cash that thing is damn near NASA science but the rest of the car its carbon fiber and not much of it

oh man theres a lot to the zo6. the car was designed in the wind tunnel, it maintains 50/50 weight distribution at ANY speed, thats taking downforce from the wind into the equation. it has supercar handling charactaristics, including braking, suspension and steering, yet it still drives comfortably down the road. the engine is hand built by a single person, with high quality materials. it will pull over 1 lateral G on a skidpad. it has 14inch wide rear tires to put all that power to the ground and it will easily run in the 11's in the quarter mile. it costs less than half of most all other supercars, and still performs just as well.. it gets 16 miles per gallon in town and 26 on the freeway!

AND ITS ALL BACKED WITH A FACTORY WARRANTY!! sorry but if you put 64,000 into your mustang, it will be extremely uncomfortable and scary to drive and you still wont beat a zo6 on a race track in anything other than acceleration!

if i won the $200 million lottery jackpot tonight, i wouldnt go buy an enzo or a mclaren or even a saleen s7.. the FIRST thing i would buy is a new c6 z06

my dads best friend growing up, who lives about a mile down the road who i visit about twice a month, just a couple of days ago he bought a 1964 vette and a brand new z06.. i cannot wait until i visit him again to see the new z06.. knowing him, he would probably let me drive it too, if i asked, but i wouldnt, just because i wouldnt want to ruin the new leather seats when i shit in my pants lol

ok i understand that its a nice car and most likley in a class of its own and if i had the money id prolly buy one too thats not the point but not beating it in anything but acceleration if i put $64,000 in my car that i find hard to belive thats a hell of alot of money

i do think its interesting thou that you can buy 2 of them for the same price as a gt40 makes me wonder have there been any comparison road test done on the 2 if so id like to read and see that i watched the one where the gt40 beat out ferrari and shit like that but not one with the gt40 and the z06

You can throw all the money you want at your 6k car, unless you bought a super extended warranty, whatever you break out of that 64k you spend on it, you will REBUY.

+1 2000si. i have seen a comparison somewhere but cannot remember where. you look at the track times arou nd the nruburgring, which is where all the big autop manufactures test and tune there cars. the z06 and the gt ran the exact same time. exact to the second. not thats impressive for a car that has half the $$$ tag and is down 50 hp. that says something about the engineers at gm. plus the damn thing will get 28 mpg. and ride smoothly, and you can take it anywhere in the country and drive across country and not worry about a single thing. try that in your 65,000 built mustang, it will not be reliable. simple fact of life, shit breaks when you mod to that level.

like bob said, this car was designed in the wiond tunnel, takin to germany for testing on the nurburgring, to perfect it. the car is perfect . 50/50 weight ratio, light weight, lots of power and plus the abilty to run 10s with some drag radials its been done. its a lot more car than youd be getting if you had 65,000 in that cumstang. a mustang is a mustang, they are cheap and fun to drive, the zo6 is cheap in comparison to the cars that it beats and outperformse at the track.

since your complaining about the 70,000 for the zo6, why not complain about the 120,000 for the porsche 911 turbo, the 300,000 for the lamborghini murcialago? they all cost a lot more and dont perform as well as the zohsick
