Oppertunity of a lifetime (and i took it)

before all is said and done i joined in January and i've finally found time to post on this site and i plan on staying

about a month and a half ago i was talking to a friend who has a large collection of rare cars. He said he was having personal problems (going through a divorce) and said he was selling the majority of his collection. So naturally i asked what he had and as he was showing me his ferrari's and lamborghini's i spotted this jewel and asked if he was selling it. He said yes so i told him i'd take it. I'm not going to tell you how much i paid for it, but i will tell you This car is original IT IS NOT A KIT CAR, the numbers are all matching and it's legit. Nothing on this car has been changed it is the same as it was in 1966 all in mint condition

I have put the car in the Shelby museum in boulder. This was it's first show and i'm sure it will be going to plenty more shows,so far, the only places it's been with me is the museum and this show.

man i love those cars im gonna have one one day and i dont care if mines a kit car just as long as ive got the 4-speed and the 427 im good and there were only 348 originally made or is that just in 66?

and as with all other people that claim to have awesome rides, not to be an asshole or anything, but having your picture made next to it at a car show aint proof enough for me.. get a picture of it with a piece of paper that has your username, the date the picture was taken, and ModdedMustangs on it, then we will all believe you.. and worship you

as for the proof that paper in the window is the best proof i have right now, like i said the car is at a museum in bolder and i don't live anywhere near there.

i go up and check on the car every now and then, so next time i'm up there i'll get a pic with the paper and whatnot

as far as price goes i'll tell you that after insurance and registration ect. the price came to just over 6 digits

sorry, kinda have a hard time believing you.. any owner of an authentic cobra knows that if they even put their car up for sale for $250,000 it would sell in 10 minutes.. and as far as the picture goes, i think im gonna be heading to my local aviation museum to put a sign on the side of an SR-71 blackbird to show everybody that i own it.. its not in my garage or anything, but maye people will believe me if i put a sign on it while its sitting at the museum.

IMO you dont own the car unless you can step up and give REAL proof that it is yours

I think a registration from colorado for the tag saying REALONE with your name on it should do the trick. Like bwal said not to be an asshole but this IS the internet. I don't believe shit anybody says.

looks like we have another guy on the forum lying about his ride to make himself look cool! i doubt we will ever see him again, he's already been busted, and yes, stanglifemike, i do believe those ARE the owners.. who else would sit behind a car like that? if this guy responds, he will say it is his family or something.. and the guy kneeling next to the car looks awfully young to be able to drop 100k on a car

(sorry to ring the MM liar siren so soon, but i honestly think it is just another person trying to make hmself look cool)
