Ping I cant shake

hey guys most of you have read i got my beater Sunfire GT back on the road early this week and i got a ping that i cannot shake its driving me insane. It didnt have it before i parked it in January so its developed it from sitting. I have new plugs new boots on it (cuz its coil on plug) i changed the oil cleaned the TB and IAC and seafoamed it. the ping got better after the sea foam. which leads me to beleive its carbon in the combustion chamber causing the ping. what can i do to get that shit out! more seafoam? If i can fid where the damn maf is then ill clean that too lol ive never pulled the maf on this bitch before. also could this be relative to the fact that when i dropped the new engine in it, it was from a grand am so i had to custom fab the hole in the engine block of the Knock sensor off my old engine because the newer style one didnt match the harness? also the intake had to be swapped form the old engine to the new one because of The lack of EGR system on the new engine, and the egr system was fabbed and swapped over too because it was required to pass emissions they say since the car came with it stock it has to have it to pass. but the new engine out of the 2003 grand am was egr free. and lastly can this ping be egr related?(i hope not its electro and it is 400 bux to replace it) AHHHH HELP!

My guess is its just bad gas, run through that tank fill it up with one tank of premium and it should clear up.

how tho ive ran them before they are the correct type and i checked the gap its .06 like its supposed to be hmmmmmmmmmm i may have to go back to AC Delco something definitely isnt right to im going ot take it for a scoot after work and see if i can see any signs of detonation on the plugs. also piston slap would leave the plugs distorted and ill check for that as well.
