first off this should be in the for sale section.

secondly.... why in the hell didn't you file a claim on ebay and also one for mail fraud?

how about calling your bank?

tell them the situation and they will pull the money out of his account...
if they can't you should be covered by the bank and then they will go after the guy for the rest.

you can still file with your bank. Item not as described, goods not received, etc... or if you want to avoid too many questions, just report lost/stolen check... Did I just post that?

Ebay, USE PAYPAL people...

its worth a shot though thanks for info guys. it surprises me that he still even sent the most expensive part that is polished blower. i payed 2200 for everything and looking on paxton site that is what blower goes for.
he changed his # too that is really funny too. i wish he was a state or too over and i would just walk up to him and punch him in his face.but cali to nh is almost as far away as you can be

It's called a Back Charge. That's why you do business with banks. You give them your money, they help you out later. They have insurance and all kinds of stuff in your favor. Don't wait, but do a research about your specific bank. For that kind of money they might not want to help, so be smart about how you approach the situation. Ebay is among the leaders in fraud, so banks are in defense mode when it comes to Ebay. Even Paypal won't take it too far. They will blame you for not searching info on the seller, reading feedback and blah blah... GOOD LUCK!.

it doesn't matter if the money is there or not.

I have gone through this before.....

the bank says "oh you got screwed?" "here is your money back"

then they go after the guy on their own... your out of the pic.

the have his account info which means also his ssn/address and what not.

just call your bank and get your money back.
