If he has a 5speed get him a nice shifter, I like the Triax. It's about $200. He'd probably like a hand-held tuner (we like SCT - as in Superchips) too. Those run about $350.

Get him this tuner:

http://mustangtuning.com/sct-xcalibrator-2.html

But you need to know every mod he has to get a decent tune programmed. Also, you need his VIN number or computer code number.

If you have a dyno shop close by, get a custom tune for his car. Or at least get him an appointment with the shop and pay for the tune for him.

headers are good too. go with long tubes though and get a catless x-pipe or h-pipe. jba headers are rolly the best for these mod motors but are a little more expensive

getting the code off the computer consists of removing the passengerside kicker panel to access the computer (pcm) and there is a sticker ontop with the code.

what kind of current mods does he have for his car, does he have a cardomain page? Another gift option could be a gift certificate to summitracing.com where he can get just about anything he wants.
