how does apple combat the people who wait in line 24+ hours to buy an iphone just to turn around and sell it on ebay for twice the MSRP?

they simply offer them for sale online for regular price, pissing off all the people that thought they could make a profit on them

i was all about the iphone when i first heard about it.......but then realized how crappy its gonna be. Its a first release, and i personally want one, but don't plan on getting one until they release one with all the bugs worked out.

i agree 100%.. if it actually lives up to its high expectations and still remains a reliable device, it will be hard to beat, but there is now way in hell i'll buy a first gen $600 iphone, much less one on ebay for $1,200

when the price drops and they work out the bugs and when i start to see some decent reviews on it, i'll probably get one

why would you wait in line 24 hours to buy anything? The only way I would is if it was something I could sell and make a huge profit( lets see, I value my time at $30 an hour... multiply times 24 is $720) so unless Im making 720 bones on the resale, its not worth my time. The dumb asses that do these things think they are slick. I tell them, get a real job and move out of your moms basement. The rest of us that work real jobs would like the opportunity to buy one at a decent price. While we're out working keeping the economy good, they're planning their next "slumber party" in front of Best Buy. Bunch of fags.

These are the same losers that wait in line 3 days for star wars dolls. There also the same assholes that make virus's that screw up my computer. They need beat down like the pansies they are.

Oh ya, good idea with the selling them online right from the manufacturer.

I would like to stand up for all STAR WARS fan in the world and say BLOW ME. I personally have never designed a virus, nor would i. I don't live in my moms basement, i share and apartment with her and my gf. The people waiting online for the phone r the ones that want to sell it online or want to impress all the friends with the coolest toy. Just because I worship yoda and idolize the FettMaster, doesn't mean i deserve an ass beating. Don't mess with a star wars fan man, cause u may not realize it, but u can make one comment about how Leia blew Luke and have a room full of secret star wars fans turn on u. Star Wars was cool in 1979. The new ones suck. The coolest character they had they killed off (Darth Mull or whatever his name was). And the faggy dude with the floppy ears... sounded like a Jamaican on crack, you couldnt understand him for nothing.

I think most of them fantasize about having a real light saber er something. They want to wake up one day and be obi won. It makes them feel like there are almost jedi's fighting for a cause.

Jar Jar Binks deserves to be hung, i agree. He was a stupid character and if you actually watch the movie, he's the one who nominates palpintine to be the chancelor. I actually know a lot of the back story, and a lot of the stuff that was left out. (I read a lot) A lot of the things in the new movies were put there because it needed to be for everyone to actually understand it. I found the movies quite entertaining, but i also new things people didnt.

Well my buddy stood in line overnight for the Nintendo Wi(or however you spell it) and bought 3. One for himself and 2 to sell. So is he a nerd and poor?? He works for IBM and makes 6 digits. Smart it you ask me. He wanted 1 and figured while there he would make some money.
