anybody have any experience with kit cars?

i'll be graduating pretty soon and my parents will buy me a car or give me the same amount of money they gave my sister for a car when she graduated.. they spent around $35k for an 07 Ford Edge for her.. i'd really like to buy a kit car to build as opposed to buying a new car.. anybody have any experience with kit cars? whether you do or you dont, which one of these cars would be good? the cobra and the daytona coupe would be built using a mustang donor, but the GT40 wouldnt...

the cobra from factory 5 is only $12K and comes with vereything except a motor and a cople of other stuff, and is verey very easy to build and light as hell

yeah, factory five is who i would go with if i decided to get the cobra or daytona coupe.. they both use donor cars but the GT40 uses all new parts.. after buying the upgrades i want for the cobra or daytona, the price would be around the same as the GT40...

dude a stock 5L in a Cobra would be bad ass, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, turbocharge that thing and it will never hook even with the stickiest tires

what about getting a wrecked terminator as a donor.. the cobra and daytona coupe is a mustang with a different, lighter body..
