Raced a crotch rocket today

Ok I'm not that knowledgable of bikes, so I'm not sure what kind it was. He was behind me on a two lane road, he came up on me quick. Well the road widens to 4 lane not even a mile ahead, and the light turns red. He gets over beside me revving his bike, then rolls back to my window after looking over my car and says " You wanna race that?". I know hes gonna smoke me but I'm always game. Lets do it I tell him, light turns green, I roll out and then nail it. He does the same, but he let me get about a half a car ahead before he nails it. I hook great and take off, the auto hits second, tires chirp and rear of car shifts about a foot and I'm digging. Expecting to see him flying by already, but.....hes at the back 1/4 of my car!!! Hes on it to because his his bike is whining in the upper rpms. Run it up to 95 and ease off, he pulls up beside me and gives me the thumbs up while shaking his head. Like he was shocked. My 98 is not THAT fast. I dont know what was going on, but I'll take it.

I love racing bikes. I usually get the chance every Wednesday night after test and tune night on the way home over a 3 mile bridge. I have yet to ever lose to any 600 and raced a buddies 03 750 GSXR and hung in pretty damn well. Even he was shocked.

Always fun to shock some of those guys when they expect to put a ass whooping down.

It could have been a 250cc of some sort, those really aren't all that fast at all. 15 second quarter miles at best, stock.

Haha, yea... thats about the only bike you'll beat unless its the guys first time riding.

Yeah, probably a 250 Ninja or something. I could beat people riding wheelies in 2nd gear.lol
