My grandpa has a 250 acre piece of land...awesome to play paintball on...

I like the trees and stumps better than blow up bouies and stuff.

lol not all fields have nothing but airball fields( or as you call them blow up bouies, lol). our field has three + 25 acres of woods, Quaries, ditches forts, etc. good fields are very well rounded. but yes as long as you keep general safty in mind playing on private property can be fun.

Yeah, it was too bad we didn't live there anymore when we found out. Bass Pro sells some good guns, too. Find which ones you like and read up on them. I got my son a Spyder for Christmas and it keeps jamming. Gotta get it fixed when I get back. It was like 150 something. Thats a cheap one.

Probably did, but she waited til the last minute to say it was ok so she had to get it from the store instead of ordering it. I have seen them as low as 104 bucks on sale.

I used to be huge into paintball. Built my own gun. Spent $991.66 building it. Thing rips. Custom autococker. First one I have shot let alone held. I only play speedball. It doesn't hurt I have played in thin short sleeve shirts, and shorts. I sometimes don't even realize I got shot. Think of it this way...take a rubberband, and pull it back far, and let it snap you. It feels a little better than that. To be honest if you look at statistice bowling is more dangerous than paintball. Play at real fields. You have to wear a mask. Teach your son the responibility of this sport. The gun is not a toy. You don't just go around your street or any street for that matter and just shoot things. It's a great sport to get into, but trust me in speedball there are plenty of assholes.

Teaches great teamwork, and helps with communication skills. I'm not lying about this either. You need teamwork and communication skills to win. Your backs will see stuff your fronts wont/cant see, and your mids are your fronts back up. I play mid-front, but mostly front. I love being on the other teams 40 takin out the backs. There are no teams that have one person to take the team along, all positions are important.

It's a great sport for you and your son to get into. Meet some great people as well.

youngin...how bout I freeze some paintballs and shoot you? Don't worry I'll put the 15 balls per second cap back on.(Yes my gun does ramp on some settings)

yeah, we live on about 40 acres of land and you cant hardly beat hiding behind trees and stumps and dead logs.. i also set up a little "fort" out of old tires to hide behind.. i loved playing paintball.. i only played like 3 or 4 real matches and that was when i was only 10 or 11 lol
