Part 2 of '03 Cobra Test Drive...
Ok i test drove another one and now im starting to want to bite on this one but i would like the opinion (MSO i know your gonna bash this thread so fire away
)...Black '03 SVT Cobra with only 10k or so miles...the dealer i want to buy it from is asking for around 26k for it...Checked the history of the car and it only had 1 owner and had a accident, yet no frame damage. Carfax states it took damage to the left center pillar, and left front pillar (doesnt say anything else...). if it was damaged on the center pillar, I would personally stay away from it. check the body lines if you are serious about the car and make sure they all line up and the gaps are even. I could have still had frame damage and not been totaled, those cars are worth a lot of money, therefore it can have a higher damage repair cost and still not be totaled. I would go so far as to have it checked on a frame machine... but thats just me and I also have access to one.
especially since its a vert... they are known to be weaker frames |

The paint looks to be flush with the rest of the car, and like i said on the beginning of the thread it drives straight as can be...i'll be driving it again tomorrow and see if i can get the frame inspected before i decide if it's worth it or not. |

if everything checks out ok offer like 23.5 or 24k and see if they take it. the fact that it was wrecked gives you alot of leverage for price negotiations.
