and it was absolutely amazing. some of u prolly dont give a crap seeing as we're on mustang forums, lol, but it was cool, and so much different than my stang. my buddy just got switched across the street to a subaru dealership. i went over to visit him and hes like hey man lets go for a test drive muahaha

that thing pulls like a bat outta hell and stopped like it weighed nothing. i hate to say it but its the first car ive driven since i got my stang that made me feel like my car was slow ; ; just had to vent haha

One of my best friends went from and SS camaro to an STi. Car was amazing. After he learned how to drive it to it's potential, he was pulling Paul Walker's all over the place. Making 90* left turns doing 50 cutting people turning in front of him off......one time he even 180d the car into a parallel park. Def a car i plan on buying in the future, have it as a fun daily driver.

not really a fan of tuners, but i would buy a wrx sti if i had the money. that really is an amazing car and it gets classified all wrong. people just place it with civics and integras....but it is not even close to that category. that car is a beast. its not even an asian company anyway

i give my respect to any sti as long as some punk isnt driving it.

heh, I'd use it as a daily driver, but my stang kills them on the highway all the time... so I'd keep my stang if I had to choose between the two but I'd definately use it for fun.

Awesome cars. Me and the wife have liked em for years. We were at a huge car show here in Rimini, Italy and there was a Subaru Rally team there with street legal practice STI's. They made you sign a waiver or laibility to go on a 2 lap ride with professional rally drivers around a closed course. Holy hell were they flying around this course slideways most of the time in complete control. I want one to slide around my back yard.

STi

STi > Lancer IMO

i think the STi wud be the only sedan i would consider buying if someone gave me an option to buy a car for free

except for luxury cars like the lincoln MKZ, or of course, a mercedes E55 or something

STi's can be pretty nasty cars. if i were ever to buy an import, it'd be an STi. a buddy of mine's got one making just shy of 500 hp on pump gas and a stock motor.

Have you driven the MKZ? I drove a Zephyr, and let me tell you. I hate it.(For those who don't know the Zephyr is what the MKZ used to be called, and they now did some upgrades to the car it desperately needed.) I really hope that 3.5L v6 they put in it really makes it nicer, because the engine in the Zephyr is horrible. I went to get on it. I floored it, and watched the rpms go from 3,500 - 7,000 before the car went any faster. The engine isn't there, and the torque converter in it absolutely sucks. They built the car to appeal to a younger crowd, but doesn't have that oomph in it that it desperately needs. I really hope the MKZ does.

No it's because the STI is actually faster than an 01 GT.

the new engine is a DOHC aluminum block/heads V6 with like 265hp

they got a new tranny too, 6-speed automatic.. plus it's AWD

and the luxurious attributes.. cant forget those :wink
