Saw it on car buzz some in my opinion "idiot" spent $1,100,000 on the first 2014 corvette he is getting special ordered to his liking via all options and and any color offered for the model.

Now let me explain myself on the idiot part this car being serial number #0001 may be a great investment but he will sit on this car for YEARS to try and make that money back when this car comes out this summer and people are buying them for 70-100k he's going to be sitting on this car for over 50yrs and not be able to drive it to make his money back.

True I just couldn't justify wanting to spend that much on a corvette the new viper didnt even bring that much and I am a die hard corvette fan. Maybe he knows something I don't, but your right about the economy

Did they also mention it was a charity car? If not well it was went to some video tech place I think, cant remember, it was on Barrett Jackson last night. Oh the first batmobile sold for 3.2? Million I believe. And president Bush's 09 king ranch went for $200,000 which was a clarity auction to fisher house



Ps. Rick Hendrick bought that vette, along with a 67 or 68 for 1.1 million, the older one was a race car that had a really good lineage

Typically the first car off the line is sold at auction and the proceeds are donated to charity. So he gets to write off the excess value of the car on his taxes.

You haven't seen anything yet, the way they spend on cars is unbelievable, their passion about cars only concentrates on sound and power, tech wise many of them doesn't know anything, things like quad turbo-charged Jeep SRT8 exist in here.. They simply have something beyond our imagination in cars
