Started off the week with a bang

Well i just got out of the hospital a couple of hours ago. It seems my lung colapsed sunday morning. I didn't think it was anything too bad until i went to the doctor monday and realized 30% of my lung colapsed. It seems to happen to tall skinny guys like myself a bit. I got a nice hole in the side of my chest from them shoving a tube in between my ribs and into my lung to reinflate the lung. I just got the tube out this morning and after a x-ray they decided i was good enough to go home. So thought since i am bed riden for the next few days i would let everyone know how my week has gone. And being wide awake for a tube getting shoved into your lung is no joke.

no i don't think blood was involved, i mean there was some in the tube and all. I still have about 10% of my lung colapsed but they said that is normal after they remove the tube. But it also sucks that i have a 30-50% more likely chance of it happening again. I already miss my morphine lol

damn, and i thought waking up at 7am this morning to go to the doctor to get a berryum (sp?) enema was bad lol

Yeah I heard your pain kinda! My dad had a detached retina about 6 months ago and he had the surgery for it and all. now six months later he has had 5 of the surgerys and there is no gaurantee that it wont happen again. I hope you dont have it happen again!

man , my dad has had a collapsed lung and told me it was the worse pain ever when they stick the bgi ass needle in the chest. apperently they dont numb it. hope ya get better and hope it doesnt happen again
