Hit google finally!

Actually very fast. Usually new sites take 3-6 months to get indexed. We got indexed in less than a month! So far google only has cached a few things, not very many posts (because of session ID's that php assigns - but since I modded the forums to remove those and show static-IP's - they aren't a problem anymore).

So, we've got pages! But, still no pagerank yet. In a month or so google will probably cache all our posts as well - and by then hopefully we'll get some page rank (at 0 now) and those posts will start to climb the ladder to the top of the search results.

I'd like to thank all those who put www.moddedmustangs.com in their forum signatures and made posts on other boards. That, along with the hundred directories I've submitted to and the dozen hours of search engine optimization (and I'm still not done!) is what got us indexed so fast.

Google's Search = 176 pages
Yahoo's Search = 252 pages
MSN's Search = 206 pages

when you just type in "mustang" in google the first hit for "modded mustangs" is the first one on page 6. not too bad i think, i didn't see mustang forums in the first six pages at all....losers......

man this site is getting along quite well now. im glad the ball is rolling and with time, this will be the best stang site on the net. and at the rate MM is going, and all the great members contributing in advertising the site, and especially joe's and bossman's commitment, the future is bright and who knows how big this thing will get. im just glad to be a part of the community! random people that i dont even know know my car and refer to it as the "blue mustang with www.moddedmustang.com decal on the winshield." i am going to enjoy watching this site grow and contributing all that i can to it as well.

Man thats awesome that the site is growing and getting out there so fast. And Joe.... I'm glad you know what the hell cache and all that means... cause I don't even have a 1/100000000000000000000000 of a clue as to what it is.

I don't get all the technical junk, but i'm glad the site name is getting out there.

I have modded mustangs in my AIM profile and on some other sites I use, so it's getting the word around to those who might be interested.

hehe, no you can't. The only thing you guys can do is put a link to us anywhere you can on the web. Links to us on our own site do not help.
