Seriously? I know hydros aren't widely known around the world, but at least the U.S. and Australia I thought they were ...? huh. Well yeah, for 50 years or so these speed boats have raced and raced and raced around the Puget Sound (Seattle) and have become immensly popular in Lake Michigan and other large lakes across the country. Top speeds are 150-160mph in an average race, around corners!!! check this out Sorry about the song choice in the vid.. fast forward to 2:05 and again to 3:45 to hear a hydro's turbine engine. There might not be a cooler form of racing in the world than hydros.
