Universal Technical Institute anyone?

Im currently enrolled for there automotive mechanics program with there ford training program. i dont start until january and right now my dad is in iraq freaking out thinking im going to make a bad decision and is tryin to talk me into a smaller school. So what is everyone elses thought on this school and has anyone else attended any of there campuses? I just figure if im gonna go to school why not go to one of the best ya know? thanks!

ont he contrary, i've heard it was a waste of money

you get the same education at a community college and you pay a LOT less

hmmm, I wonder if the community college has facilities like UTI, plus I don't think you would have the same credentials from a CC than you would from UTI or Wyotech or any other auto tech school.

well i have a buddy that went to UTI and he said it was a mistake, didnt learn shit about anything he didnt know before he went. And well he dont know much about anything other than the 5.0 or the 351, He said it was a waste of time.

heh, if you can afford wyotech

you're better off with community college and getting a degree in automotive technology, which you can put towards a bachelor's degree in automotive engineering

a friend of mine went there and graduated a couple years ago. he loved it, and is now making quiet a bit of $$$. i almost went, but like a dumb ass i stayed here with my girl (now my wife). congrats, and good luck.

hmm damn this is ending up like a "should i go turbo of SC" topic hahahah only thing is really a problem is that it cost so much but then your not even ASE certified when you get out..i mean i know you have to earn that..but my dad is concerned im gonna be changin oil and shit so its not even worth it

but i really wanna go and try to get into the Audi or BMW academy since they help pay back student loans and i could make more money do that..but i guess i got 5 months to decide..

i was thinking about UTI

in my auto class in school, they have several different tech campusus that come in and talk to you

so far im settled on either Wyotech or Baran institute

except with UTI, you cant work on live cars, which is kind of a turn off a bit

but there Hot Rod program really had me going so im undecided

the UTI project this year was 5 groups had 5 Mustangs and one group had to make the fastest out of them all
