Shelby GT500

What price (max) do you guys think an 07 Shelby GT500 with 500 miles and like new- showroom condition is worth paying? The car is black w/tungsten grey rally stripes w/sirius and the shaker 500.

Thanks for the feedback.

By the way, the car has been purchased and titled (one owner)- but has never seen rain and has set with a car cover on it in a garage.

First off its no longer a brand new car. So calculate 1 year depreciation of the vehicle. It has 500 miles on it. Was it broken in properly??? doubt it. Why is he selling it?

45k would be my guess as well. The premium charge on those things is gone the instant its no longer a new car and a year old. Have you seen the car?

Good luck.

private party, you wont get over 45k, because a bank will NOT loan over a set price, that they figure (based on sticker, not markup) is a reasonable price for the car. You might be lucky to get 45k, if someone wanted to finance.
At a dealership, it would probably go in the 50s, but private party, lucky to see 45k

Leebunnyz is right - I do own the car. But, I'm not trying to sell it to anybody on this site. I don't really know for sure if I'm going to sell the car. I just figured you guys (the consensus) would give me a good idea if I were to decide to sell the car.

I appreciate all the feedback...

Can't lump private party into a loan scenario. If the private buyer really wanted the car and the seller wasn't letting it go for less than 50k, then it's the buyers choice to pay more if he has the cash. Dumb move yes, but it's more likely to happen than not. The majority of the GT500 purchases that are occurring are from people who have too much damn money.

Also, seen this several times: Buyer comes into the private sale with 5K cash and 45K from a bank. Another dumb move obviously, but it happens - more often than we care to think.

I'd be interested at 45. If they sold at sticker I'd already have one.Just wrong to bump up the sticker on a new car.
