Return of the mustang?

WEll, ive been gone from these forums for a while. Mainly because my 98 gt was wrecked due to some idoit messing with his girl instead of watching the road. but anyways, i drive a 95 bronco now..... not a bad truck, just HORRIBLE on gas ( go figure) anyways, i miss the comfort and sound of my old gt. but today after i went to an interveiw at o charleys, i stopped by jodeco auto financing to look at mustangs with my g/f. there were only three, a 99-04 silver 5 speed v6, a 00-04 gt that was auto and another gt of the same year that was dark blue, 5 speed, and had turndowns after the muffler. so, im schemeing. my 17 th birthday is coming up and i made it known im wanting to buy another car, with my own money and i want it to be a mustang. so, i got the info for the gt from the lady today. 1500 down, 300 a month for 42 months. id have to get a co signer. i want to trade in the bronco and hopefully i can kick this plan into action if i get on at o charleys, due to the weekly pay and tips and the steady hours, it beats workin at wendys. so im trying to figure everything out... my friend is a hostess there and said her last check was $ 160. but if i get to be a bus boy im sure ill make more. so im lookin at at least 160 to 200 bucks a week from there. so, lets start the feedback!

( just thought id share a few pictures of the old gt)

a pic of the aftermath

it was a close call, but the dude totalled it out. so we got 5 grand out of it. the bronco has a 302 , no exactly my ideal motor i wanted. BUt its alright. i wanted a 4x4 to offroad, and i did. but then, they started to shut down all the places we went. so there isnt anywhere to go now. And all my friends have fast cars with decent mileage, and what do i have? a behemoth that sucks gas. but anywho, what yall think? gt or v6? eitehr way i want to finance one or the other, cause i know it will build my credit when i get 18

Soo let me get this straight. Yuo will be making at most $800 a month and you want to buy a $14,100 at $300 a month. Did you call the insurance company about rates or are you still covered under your parents policy? A 17 y/o male with a V8 mustang will def incur some big insurance rates especially if it is just your policy. Also figure the gas needed to run that gas hungry GT mustang with the ocassional romping due to the fact that it is a Mustang.
You're not leaving yourself much in the way of living money. Might want to unload the Bronco in a private sale to get more money since trade-in values are crap on older cars. That will give you either more pocket money to live or to put down on the stang. Also don't forget to check the intrest rate on the loan. If they want over 12% intrest then walk away. It adds up fast especially on a 42 month loan.

Don't get yourself in over your head, trust me.

i kno it sounds like an obvious statement from me, but if you really want a mustang then buy a fox

they're cheap and cheap to mod

not to mention insurance wont be as high

besides, foxes are cooler anyways

a fox wasnt really something i wanted. i always loved the sn-95s and stuff, but foxes just seem like its not me. But hey, maybe i could get one. right now im just trying to finance something so i can build credit and get a mustang ive wanted ( the gt) i planed on getting one after highschool anyways.
