raining in texas again

well i got to work this morning and it had been raining a bit.
roads were slick, a wreck made traffic worse than usual, etc. as the morning progressed my boss said i was going to need to take my car to the jobsite, soi could pick some things up. im like sure cool, got my ipod, im good.

im driving down 290 to 610 and it starts pouring down rain. really really heavy rain. its raining for a good 45 minutes, i call my boss and tell him im afraid ill get stuck because of the rain, and flooding. he said ok turn around and go to the shop. which is also headed back to my house

i take my first exit and i see a mustang at the end of the exit ramp but to the side with his emergency lights on. i get down further, cant see a damn thing because the rain is soo thick. and i realize the mustang has nowhere to go. the water next to him is midway on truck wheels. thats about 1 foot of water or so.

im get behind him and put my emergency lights on, just to stay safe, then i realize if i stay there it will just get worse. so i got in the left lane and went a few yards and got into some deep water, there was no where for me to go, so i inched my way up to the uturn, which turned out to be a bad idea because the uturn was worse than anywhere else.

im still inching my way forward and am still in deep water, my car starts choking and jerking and feels like its gonna die, i give it some gas, hoping there will be a place a bit higher. i make it to the light and the water is still rising near me, my car still alive. i dart across the street and make it to a gas station where i sat for 2 hours. i was soo scared, i thought for sure that was the end of my engine. but thankfully it only sucked up a small amount.

I find it fun to drive in the rain... but my tires suck... I made a U turn the other day and it was pouring, needless to say my car fishtailed a bit... didn't scare me, but the fact that the guy behined me was going tohe same direction made my stomach sink... I drove slowly pretending it was an accident just incasde it was a neighbor... don't want my parents taking away my car... other than that, I would of hammered the gas again. Its fun letting the rear loose.

Cut a hole in your hood and fab an intake pipe upwards at a 45 degree angle towards the back of the car.

Then weld a pipe from your exhaust upwards 3'.
