i didn't join to see the world, but i did go to places i otherwise wouldn't normally have. like exotic Groton, CT. the jewel of New England. Birthplace of the Submarine Force. and about the most boring fucking place on the east coast. went there twice for 2 weeks, and i wanted to kill myself. but i've been to England a few times, Scotland twice, Germany, Norway like 5 times, all for free. i think the best thing has been the opportunity to meet and work with all kinds of people from all walks of life. that's what i'll miss the most- the guys i've had the privilege of working with.

i agree. i went to college for about 3 semesters and wound up dropping out. i was sick of school. so i worked full time, but let's face it, a full time job at Staples ain't shit. my life was all fucked up (because of a girl and my inability to keep my dick in my pants) and everything sucked, so i joined the Navy. and here i am, 9 years later.

yeah, yeah lol. i've been east coast my whole career. on top of that, being on a submarine, you don't have the opportunity to pull in to as many places as surface ships do. i guess some countries get uncomfortable with the whole nuclear reactor thing, not to mention the possibility of weapons

I wasn't on a real small boy.. they hold a crew of less than a 100 normally.

I was on a smaller ship though..

my crew was at 380ish If I remember correctly.

damn. that's a lot of people. i'm used to 150- 160. on deployment we had about 183. on a boat with 90-some racks. yeah, do the math. everybody was hot-racking. fucking riders
