Well the first thing is that you still have gas, food spending money and all the incidentals still. The good thing is that its still a very small % of your income you describe. Here's what I'd do in the light that I say that you have to do something that makes you happy. You can obviously cut down on your hours at your current job ( or at least request it) and still make your financial obligations without issue. This will give you the hours in a day needed to pursue whatever you want. Just dont WASTE that time. That time is MONEY you could be making so make the best of it. Find an apprentice job or internship of sorts in the field you like. If that wont work, volunteer. I know it sounds crazy but listen. If there is a shop you can get to that has a good reputation for good work and solid technicians go to it. Tell them your story and tell them you'll show up for nothing a few hours a day to help out. You can hand mechanics tools and learn hands on. You will learn more in a month there than you'll learn out of a college course book in 3 months. This also gives you an in at the shop later. Also, you will see if this is something you really want to do. You are very lucky to have monay and time... dont waste it or the good man will take it away. ** Dont fall into some get rich quick scheme either. Hard work and good decisions will always beat luck and chance.

ya i do have it good right now. i made $350 extra this week than i usually do. and i got more over time than usual. made about $800 in all this week.
theres precision engine, im sure yall have stumbled across them, but they sell crate engines, to your specification. thats something i would love to learn. luckily precision engine is close to where i live. only 45 minutes in morning traffic or so.
thats a good idea about asking to cut down my time, since i planned on trying to get an internship at PE.


and about School of Automotive Mechanics ive never heard of it, ill look in to it though. id love to go to uti, but it just is soo much money.
my brother went there and he loved it because it was hands on, within the first month im pretty sure they each tore down an engine and rebuilt.
i might buy a pontiac 3800 engine out of a grand prix from a friend for $100 just to take it apart.
