I was dinking around and have successfully found out a way to make you xbox 360 play "back up copies" of games with no purchase of a mod chip. just a few simple firmware mods. literally no cost to my self. just my time.

i modded the original xbox. custom halo 2 maps FTMFW!!! custom mods. not getting banned. all the games i could imagine... or download. it was awesome.

so how do you do this modding thing on the new one?

core unit is like 225 and the premium with the hdd and the HD dvd and cables is like 300-350
i recommend getting the premium or u will kick ur self in the ass after u realize u need a hard drive to save ur games lol but go to a pawn show thats hte best place to go cheap good condition and the earlier versions r easer for me to break into

wlel it takes like 4 hours much patience and a chance of fuckin ur xbox dvd up if you flash it wrong u got to trick your pc into seeing it and then u got to force flash some modified firmware onto it. then u have to get the 360 security hash key and match it to the hacked firmware otherwise when u torn on the xbox it will only play movies and will tell you to put ur xbox games into an xbox 360 cuz the drive dont pass the security hand shake. and lastly you have ot stealth mod it and spoof it to look original or microsoft will bann your hackin ass from xbox live

nah it dont have the balls to play ne xbox 360 games. and u need ot mod the drive if your replacing it it has to have the pass key in the firmware or u will get error 62 hardware miss match

no im just talking about buying one made for the orignial xbox and putting it in the original xbox. that one doesnt read discs anymore and all it needs is a new drive but we just bought another xbox instead. i have three original xboxs and had two 360s but just have one now
