V-10 or TT diesel

My dad's F150 has approached 100,000 miles and he always like to sell when they reach that point.

He is really interested in the new 08 Superdutys but wants more power than the 5.4 with 300hp so it is either v-10 or diesel. I dont know much on the new diesels but I "heard" they are getting bad gas mileage and the add on cost for just the motor is $6,000 compared to extra $600 for the v-10?

And knowing my dad, he likes to modify... can much be done to the new v-10 or TT diesel. I guessing the aftermarket isn't open to the new motors just yet?

fuck gas powered trucks used to tow... diesels have a higher % of power increase from little things then a gas engine will.

The dodge has always been an option for my dad as well but that is only because of the motor... everything else on dodge we dont care for (interior sucks, bad powertrain besides the cummins, and old/cheap looks)

DO you guys know what the sticker on the truck says the MPG is on the ne diesels? I can't find it... and I can't find the v-10 either...
