Im getting ready to sell my Durango and buy a Jeep or Volvo. The Volvo is safer and better on gas but the payment is like $80 more a month. If my math skills are sharp, I figure I'll make that up in mpg. The insurance on the volvo are a little less. But I like the way the Jeep looks better and the fact that it is an American car pulls alot of weight.

As much as I love my car I am over it and just have had enough.

I make payments on it, I have invested over $3500 in parts to keep it moving (not including maintance) in less than a year, It is not a practial Daily Driver, and it is killing my pocket.

It just got back from the shop last week for a starter and wiring problem. Now it is back off to the rear end shop this week. I put a whole new rear end in the car in Nov 06 and have only 5k miles on it. It has never scene a track or even a street race and it blew up already.


I have owned the car for a year and 4 months and out of that it has not be running or at a shop for 5 of those.

I am just over all that. I am 25 years old, in college, a full time job, and I have to pay for any and everything as my mother is not too well off.


So bye bye mustang.

I have had my fun in it and I will hate to see it go. However I can't wait for it to leave.

I am over having a "fast" car to drive around.

I just want a nice truck and a "go fast" boat. If I ever get another "fast" car it will be a fox body stang and it will be a street/track car.

More than likey it is and it has a 12/12 warranty on it. So I will also more than likey not pay a dime.

I will however be without my car for half of the week and having to deal with the pain in the ass brake in period.

It is just little B.S. over time that has just gotten to be old and I am over it.

Over all the car is great and I am sure the next owner wont even have half the problems as I fixed most everything. I guess you could say though its too little too late.

The Explorer I am looking at is loaded with every option and has the 5.0 V8. I had one before and always said I should have never sold it.

Also I am looking into a 23-25 ft Baja for some time next spring and with the Mustang around that is just not going to happen.

No matter how fast or how pretty... its still made by some foreign ass labor in a country I'll never visit.

Just cant see myself in a foreign car. I dont care anymore if my cars not the fastest. I'd rather get beat 100 times than to contribute to the loss of one American trying to support themselves. Theres too many good American choices. I guess Im just an old fart with loyal blood.

Besides, no matter what you buy, theres ALWAYS a faster car somewhere.

I'd feel embarrassed in a Subaru anything. I always see little kids driving these things like they know something. Like they have this attitude about them. Its always some skinny little bitch from some middle class family that has had what he's got handed to him. They probably all got little Vin Diesel tattoos on the back of their hands for when they jerk off.
