turbo 3.8 or stock 5.0?
I have a 95 mustang that was my first car and has the v6 in it. I bought a truck so i could go places i cvouldnt in the mustang and decided i would build it but am not sure what would be faster at take-off becuase i dont plan on racing except maybe a little on old roads from stopsign to stop sign. What would give me a better take off? I already have a rebuilt v6 in it, but also have a 5.0 at the house that needs rebuilt so either way i gotta spend some money. Any input would be great.

most people with a v8 = Get the 5.0 most people with a v6= Get the v6 and turbo it and beat a stock 5.0 most people with sense will retort= hci on a 5.0 will beat a turbo v6 with ease.. 5.0>single port 3.8 /thread

Wait he says he doesn't want to mod any further. So stock 5.0 vs turbo single port v6. The v6 i would take. If you plan on not doing anything to the 5.0

do what you can ... i warn you now that putting a V8 in a V6 frame isn't as easy as it looks ... you need to change the K member and some other stupid shit ... not saying that its a different frame... cause its not just their are small things that need to be changed... if you can get a donor car to transplant from that would be best

for ease of everything i would say turbo over 5.0
but i would choose the 5.0 over the 3.8T merely for the fact that 5.0's are cheap and easily modded. torquey little mofos too.
