Anyone with S10 experience?

Hey guys, I wanted to ask you about any previous experience with an S10 pickup truck. I'm specifically looking at a 96 2WD V6 automatic with 80,00 miles.

Any input about that model? Or the 4.3L V6? Hold the bullshit please, we need this truck for my dad for specific reasons. I'd rather get a Ranger, but those apparently don't exist on the retail market around here.

Any input?

P.S. Anyone selling a Ranger or not full size truck anywhere close to Augusta, GA?

I had a '98 with the 4.3. That truck was possibly the funnest vehicle ive ever owned. I ran the piss out of it and the only thing I ever had to replace was the water pump. I sold it with aroung 120K.

that is a great truck the 2.8 or the 4.3 are both amazing engines. the 4.3 is a power house for sure but dont be fooled by the 2.8 either my buddy has a 5 speed 4.3 1990 s10 and its a beautiful truck he fully reso'd it and it moves like stink in the wind. only thing is the ass end is so obnoxiously light traction is an issue in the winter or rain.

Just sold an 96 S10 4.3 2wd with 300,000 miles for $1300. Original motor. Changed radiator @ about 250, O2 sensors @ 290, Intake gasket around 250, and just the basic wear and tear items. Just changed stock clutch. Great truck if you take care of it
