Went to the track last night.

Started off with some problems. The vacuum pump was pulling oil from the valve cover and filling the breather tank which was then spraying oil down the side of the car which then got on the tires and brakes. Made for a couple of fun passes. I decided the problem was the location of the vacuum pump line in the valve cover so I took the belt off and ran it with no vacuum pump. Then the car decided to wheelie really hard and steer into the other lane on the back tires. I gave the anti roll device some more preload on the passenger side. Next pass the car went straight as an arrow all the way down the track until something in the engine let go near the 1000 foot mark. Still ran 9.40 at 146 mph on that pass. I'm not sure what let go but I don't think its anything too serious. It didn't put any holes in the oil pan or block.

It didn't run a faster ET than last year but it picked up a ton of mile an hour so the potential to go faster was there if it would have stayed together. I'll have to pull it apart and see what went wrong.

I'm done for the season now since I hurt the motor. I was looking for 8s. Maybe next year.

wow that determination if i spend all off season on a car just to take it to the track once and be done until next year id sell that shit and give up

I would like to but I work 80+ hours a week. Time is an issue with me.

Yeah i remember you saying you work alot. Still very impressive for coasting after the 1000 ft...Hope you get it worked out by next season dude.
