a while back i had some type of "quicktime alternative" program installed on my computer.. i deleted that program on accident now i cant play any type of quicktime files at all.. cant even open itunes or anything.. it wont let me uninstall or delete quicktime its self either, so i cant uninstall then reinstall it.. what do i do?

and while im on the subject, how do i convert video files? like i have some videos that only play in quicktime but i want them to play in windows media player.. do i need a different program? thanks

download quicktime again from the apple website, and just download a free program to convert it for MOV to MPEG

yeah well we cant all afford macs even if we want them plus right now ide rather deal with windows and have more money for mods

ahhhh, the oldest restore date said "removed quicktime" and "removed itunes" so i restored it to there and my computer went to the time of day AFTER i removed that crap.. i waited like 2 hours for it to restore its self and it still didn't work.. any other ideas? and no im not calling apple cause im not gonna pay $40 for them to give me crappy instructions..

You did what they told ya... but did ya actually click on the little < nect to the month to go to the past month?

if you can't do that, try deleting the quicktime and itunes folders from the program files folder located in your main drive.

If it doesn't let you delete it. Try booting up in safe mode, by pressing F8 during boot up (don't know what PC you have) but if you can't get it to let you pic safemode before the load screen, then just press the reboot button during the windows load screen and that should give you a error message to choose between safe mode, normal mode and probably lasnt known good setting. Boot into safe mode and try to re-install or uninstall. Ussually a re-install just fixes it without the need of a uninstall.
