I have a friend that has a 6 speed in his. I drove it and I must say that the standard really makes a uge difference in the way the truck feels as far as power goes.

I drove a 10 speed and in was fine. It had a high low in it. 5 gears on the low end and 5 on the top end. In was easyer to find the gears. The gears are alittle hard to find when you 1st start driving it.

my dad has a new dodge 2500 diesel and i love that truck. he just hit 110k miles on it, and its only 2 years old and the thing runs like freaking new with nothing done to it. The only problem is when you buy a programmer you can't get the aggressive setting cause the transmission will slip its ass off once you go over 800fptq

All of the trucks are that way. The motors can be made to put more power out then the drivetrain can handle.

I don't want this to sound like I am doing the whole my truck is better then yours cause I mean that cummins is a better car then my sixer stang was (Thats right I said it!!!...... Not my new GT though Hehehe j/k)...

But my definate preferance is the Dodge Cummins. My dad has a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. That thing is fucking awesome! 310 horsepower, 550 ft/lbs of torque, 4 wheel drive, and a NV5600 six speed transmission. I only wish he would let me drive it!!! But oh well, maybe I can trade keys for a day now that I have the GT...... He can drive just about anything since he has been driving 12 speed Peterbuilt's for over 20 years.

Think I should get the key trade for a day!

To drive everyday as a car I would not. If I hade to drive a truck, I think I would go with the Dodge. If not the Dodge, then the Ford.

A Suburban or Yukon XL with a diesel would be the cats ass if they still made them.
