Opinions needed please

I'm torn on this subject so please give me your opinions. I currently have an 05 V6 stang. He is my DD. I work at a landfill so it is extremely hard to keep him "show worthy". So, I've been on this quest to find a Fox Vert. The 5.0's, in my range, that I'm finding are "beat". Question is...do I keep the 05 as my "show car" and by a 4 or 6 cyl Fox Vert? Or do I keep my '05 my DD and get a Fox Vert 5.0 and invest lots of $$$$.

I'm an S197 guy so my choice would be to keep the 05 nice.

Let the 6er be your DD and get the fox to put money into for racing or power, you will get more power out of a v8 than a v6 per mod. But then there are some guys with some fast 6ers at modularforum.com I think I recal a supercharger 6er with some other mods running mid 11's in the quartermile

you're not getting a fox with a 6 in it.. and still have the vert

around here, 5.0 fox verts are absolutely DIRT CHEAP.

i'd get the 5.0 as a DD

I'm leaning more towards the fox vert as my dd since I know I will have too much fun with the top down. The 5.0's around here are too much $$$ for a NICE one, thats why I might be leaning towards a 4 cyl vert. Good mileage, inexpensive.....can always add a cai to it right, for a lil extra....

u can do a lot to 2.3s for dirt cheap to bring them up to a respectable hp rating

check my n/a thread in the 2.3 section, most of that stuff is cheap and will get you around 150-175 to the wheels depending on waht you do

i bought my 2.3 vert for $150 and turbo bought his for $100

cant beat that lol

Cool! Thats great!! Think I might be leaning towards the 4-banger. Least I can get one of those in very good condition for the same price as a "beaten" 5.0...lol. You guys are great!

i wouldn't put alot of $ into a sixer BUT u dont see that much so i guess it will be cool whichever route u go

I say have the fox as a DD. Why have the car thats worth WAY more get trashed as a DD?

You could pick up a fox vert for about 3000 but not any more than 3500 to find a good one if you keep looking so
