what are we allowed to post on the v6 section without it getting moved? if every question gets moved to tech why is there even a v6 section to begin with...everytime some ones posts a question about how to do something or what to buy it gets moved to tech, everytime someone tries to sell something specifically for a v6 by showing the v6 guys it gets moved to the classifieds...everytime someone posts a pic of their sixer for the other sixer guys to see it gets moved to the multimedia section...basically every post in this section falls into the catagory or another section so what can get posted here without it getting moved?

there are instances where the topic is more so geared towards all mustang owners for example suspension. the GT and v6 use the same stuff only the cobra is different. so general tech is where it should be cuz that way every one can take advantage of the topic. Media does belong in media. "hey guys check out my red mustang" dont matter if its a v6 whats the relavence? that we have paint too? or My v6's disk changer is jammed.... so was bill's and he owns a v8 he posted in the general tech, electronics section and could have answered ur question if u would have posted there. get my drift?

now ill allow this thread to stay just so you and the others can read this and see why we do what we do.

there is a line where we will let stuff slide obviously but i mean when ur asking about the fuse panel in your car thats not v6 specific it belongs in general tech electronics. see what im saying? now if u were askign about long tubed headers for a v6 and gt take off's thats a on the fence. and it would stay here.

v6 specific tech for v6 section only. this thread is not even tech. if it is general tech, it will be moved to the general tech subforum - general tech is tech that can be generalized to all mustangs, not solely the v6. if you want to have a discussion for v6 guys only, keep it to PM's or chatrooms

Yes, it's pretty simple. Keep the subject on v6 tech and on topic and there should be no reason for a mod to move it. However, a tech thread that strays because a few select members/mods start BSing and saying nonsence should not be subject to a move. Those individual posts should be removed to keep the integrity of the tech discussion intact and in the v6 section. Mods who misuse their authorty should be reported. Period.

Look at it this way. If the more generalized topics get spread out to the forum sections that exist for those topics, you're helping keep the forum as a whole a more active place by posting your questions in those different forums.
And if everyone starts doing that, eventually you won't have to worry about a question/post going unnoticed. I've probably had a 1/2 dozen different threads moved from the 05+ section that didn't belong there (mostly media stuff like vids, pics, etc), and it's not a big deal. I don't take it as a slight to S197's. I just try to do my best to keep the other sections busy by helping out when I can, even if it's not about my genre of car.
