it does not really turn me on. visually, everybody has their own taste

but pretty damn cool the record has been broken. and must be some damned good engineering on the engine

wont be long until a new koenigsegg comes out or veyron and breaks that record. since its only a few mph

Pure American V-8 power there. I know nearly 1,100 horsepower looks great, but without that Cd (drag coefficient) of 0.357, it would never see speeds of that magnitude. So I give it up for the folks behind the aerodynamic engineering of that car.

Personally, I'd take the SSC over the Veyron. And I'd have enough money leftover to buy roughly all the Cobras made in 1996. How cool.

Hell did anybody read the Motor Trend article where the new Hennessey Venom Twin Turbo Viper killed the Veyron from 0-200mph? The Viper cracked past 200mph in 20.3sec and the Veyron did it in 28.4sec. That Viper wanted to keep going too. Hell it did 220+ at the 2mile mark. They didn't have enough room to keep going. Imagine what the top speed on that bad boy is.
