engine is in.....woooooot


well, after waiting 8 weeks for my 347 to be built, its finally in. Engine, transmission, clutch are all in. Now all I have left to do is go through the rear end.

the guy that sold me the car "claimed" it had 31 spline axles, but after seeing much of the half assed stuff he did, I was hessitant and decided to check for myself. sure enough, only 28 splines.

I figure it will cost me around another 1,500 to get the parts I need for that, and I will be on the road.

the only problem is, after dropping 9,500.00 for a motor, and clutch....and another 1,500.00 for headers and exhaust.....im broke as hell....LOL.

well, I guess I better sweet talk the wife some more.

this thing should be a beast when I am done. 347 stroker with a D1 and 16 lbs of boost.

the local track closes in November.....I dont know if I will have it done by then or not.

also, im not a huge fan of 18s on a fox so those wheels and tires may be up for sale soon if anyone is interested.

I just realized you have no idea what the setup is. I posted that in another thread.

here is a list

boss 302 block
all forged internals (347 stroker)
victor jr aluminum heads
holley systemax intake
60 lb injectors
comp magnum rockers
comp cam 236/248 579/579 ...114 LSA
pro mass air systems MAF
BBK long tubes
dynamax cat back
BBK H pipe with cats (last exhaust was off road and annoyed the hell out of me.....i dont mind giving up a few horses for street manners)
centerforce dual friction cluth
Tremek TKO tranny (may do an automatic C4 conversion early next year....im just out of money right now)

Procharger D1 ( 16 and 20 lb pullies)

Its been in the car since last weekend. the engine hasnt even been fired yet.

I will be able to give you a good review in a couple of weeks I suppose. As soon as the car is dynoed I plan on taking it to the track once or twice before it closes this year.

The engine shop had the block about 6 weeks ago. they ordered mine along with a couple of others for projects they were doing.

I saw the block before assembly began and its a very beefy block. Should hold up to anything I want to throw at it.
