NEW FEATURE - Personal Showcase (web page)

I'm pleased to announce the addition of a feature no other internet forum has... and I mean NONE.

If you look to the left of my name, you'll see a link for my personal showcase. Of course you don't have to call it that, you can name it whatever you want.

Brief instructions:
Go into your profile and look for the link that says "create showcase". Click on this link and you will be brought to our intuitive wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) html editor. Of course if you've got web designing skills you may just want to code html directly in. Theirs a button that switches between html view and the editor view.

Their really aren't many limitations to what you can do. If you can code it onto a html page you can do it in your showcase. Tables, javascript, etc. are all at your fingertips.

Once created a link to your showcase will appear above your avatar. For maximum exposure to your cooler than cool web page you can put a link in your signature, hotlink your signature picture (ask a mod for help if you don't know how to do this), give the link out to your friends family, post it on other message boards, whatever.

All feedback, suggestions, bugs, etc. should be left in this thread. New features will cost money, so if you have any... they better be good!

1. setting background colors for tables will change some of the forum table colors
2. edit_showcase not using forums css

there should probably be a way to get back to the forum index once youre in the showcase.. i dont think there is unless i missed it

I agree. I created a rough outline of my showcase and I will be adding images galore in the upcoming days. This is a great feautre Joe, Thanks man!

yea i made one just to see how it worked, its confusing to edit it though i dunno maybe im just stupid when it comes to that shit haha

Theirs still some bugs to be worked out as you learn to use it. make sure I'm aware of what improvements should be made.

it would be cool to be able to search for users names or type of stang too somehow, like on the search page.. maybe.. i dunno if that would be too hard or not

Is it possible to allow our showcases to harbor video files? You know, if we could upload our videos like the various sites (putfile, streetfire...) and have a little image and caption linked to the video. I am in the dark when it comes to even making a video and posting it on the net, but if it is possible to get the videos into our showcases, I would love to take a shot at video taking.

Certainly you can. We'll even host your video so long as theirs a moddedmustangs plug at the beginning. Now with putfile for example, you won't be able to provide a download link that will last more than a couple hours - they want you to put a link to their download page.

ive made a plug thats in the vid section that anyone on here can use if you can figure out how to put it at the beggining of your video

I will begin making videos soon (once I learn how) and when I get it figured out, I will talk to you more about hosting and editing a ModdedMustangs plug for an intro, etc...

I am really excited about this feature, and I'm sure it will attract a ton more members

Thats what I've been doing with my spare time, and tryin to ride my fourwheeler while the weather isnt so hot, been in the 70s here the past two days, love cold fronts :wink
